Warp Drive

    Type LF-9X4 Modified (X2)
  • Standard Cruising Speed: Warp 6
  • Maximum Velocity: Warp 8.65
  • Maximum High Warp Time: 5 hours, 6 with reserves.
  • Design Notes: The LF-9X4 compact warp drive has been modified to allow the Arrow Flyer to achieve a maximum warp speed of warp 8.65. The Arrow Flyer uses many of the design elements found on the aeroshuttle and the Delta Flyer, with several enhancements on both fronts. The original design of this shuttle was modified to do battle against the Hirogen Armada, while also incorporating a high-performance shuttlecraft that could fulfill a number of important tactical strategic roles without placing Nigala in harm's way. Several other shuttles of somewhat lesser quality have been created similarly to create a force of small fighter shuttlecraft, however, no Borg technology was incorporated as was in the Prototype Phase I & II designs.

Offensive Systems

  • Phaser Panels: 5 (3 near Cockpit)
  • Type VI Phaser Arrays: 6 (Dorsal/Ventral)
  • Multi-Warhead Torpedo Launchers: 2 (1 Fore, 1 Aft)
  • Micro-Torpedo Complement: 20 Photon, 25 Quantum
  • New Prototype weapon named Death Blossom, this attack is created when the device is activated, the ship spins 360º, panels on the shuttle's outer hull open, releasing a wave of phaser/torpedoe fire on any ship (primarily used against multiple targets) in range, the result is a devastating attack. However, this results in a major loss of power, and the hazard that circuits may be fused. Emergency power, however, makes up for some of the lost power and the ships ability to be rerouted through other circuitry makes up for the fusion. So far this device was only successfully installed and tested in the first two prototype shuttles.

Defensive Systems

  • FSQ-3 uprated
  • Shields
  • Navigational Shielding (Force Rating 50)
  • Ablaptive Shielding
  • Bump Shield (Prototype Design): This is when the Flyer's Shields and the other ship's (shields) "Bump", the shuttle reads the frequency, theoretically being able to change it's own frequency to match and pass right through the enemy's shields. Note: Since it's installation, the bump shields have been proven to work in actual combat situations. So far only tested on the Phase I Arrow Flyer design.

  • Passive neutrino imaging scanner
  • Thermal imaging array
  • Lateral Planetary Short Range Sensor Package (Advanced)
  • Electromagnetic refraction geological receiver
  • Meteorological polarity sensor
  • Hydro-magnetization aquatic field cluster
  • Lateral Astrological Short Range Sensor Package (Advanced)
  • Subspace transposition sensor cluster
  • SWACS (Space Warning And Control System)

Probes

  • 1x Class IX
  • 1x Class VI
  • 1x Class V

Power

  • 1x Class LF-9X4  Matter-Antimatter Reactor
  • 1x Mod 8 Antimatter Storage Pod
  • 1x 10gw Fusion Reactor
  • 1x 7000 kg Deuterium storage tank
  • Power Distribution network Power Flow Rating: 100
  • Auxiliary Power Main Generation Redundancy 5 (this restores all power to systems after use of Death Blossom)

Shuttle Design Notes

  • Due to new design, glitches are expected.
  • It supports a crew of 2.
  • The ship can be run by a single pilot, though it's full potential cannot be brought out without two. The ship is based on fighter crafts, it has joysticks, two on either side of the pilot, it's normally in a neutral position (all stop), when both are thrust forward it goes to impulse accordingly (forward), when both are pulled back it goes in impulse accordingly (reverse). Also the weapons are on the controls as well as 3-dimensional movement. (More is covered in the log, "The Cockpit".)

Borg Adapted Technology
The Flyer is adapted from some Borg Technology, giving it some qualities unlike that of anything similarly designed.

Designers Final Notes
There are two designs of the Arrow Flyer-Class Shuttlecraft in today's current use, both approved by R&D:

  • Phase I: This shuttle was designed for combat and long range missions, one pilot and six passengers, primarily based on the Delta Flyer design, with modifications, though it was fitted with an experimental slipstream and transwarp coils, both have yet to be tested.
  • Phase II: This design is most definitely for extreme combat, although not as tough as a full size vessel, granted, it's maneuverability match and succeed the predecessor, as well, the shuttle only has only room for two persons, the main pilot and the copilot, in the typical fighter ship format.
